Wedding Venue’s

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

Your venue is probably going to be the single biggest wedding expense that you’ll have to pay, with many of the more popular venues charging £2000 upwards. There are many over options that you could look at to see if you could save some money for example;

Many village halls, golf and rugby clubs have suitable rooms available for a fraction of the price.  The main things you need to do are look past the existing decor and imagine it with hundreds of fairy lights or candles for a romantic theme.

(Remember that lighting is a major key to any room and you can transform it for very little cost).

If you’ve found the wedding venue that you have set your heart on, but it looks as if it will be out of your budget, not to worry.  Many venues offer significant discounts for mid-week or out of season weddings which can run into thousands of pounds. Many wedding couples are considering Friday and Sundays to get married as they can work out alot cheaper.

Wedding Photo Booth

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

Hiring a photo booth is becoming more and more popular with wedding couples as they like to have something different to save as a memory of their big day.

How about taking it one step further by setting up a photo area at your reception, you could drape matching material from your colour scheme over a back drop, add a couple of cushions or chairs to the area, I would suggest that you provide an area that would be big enough for a group photo. You will be amazed by the photos that you will have of your friends and family.

Recession

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

As we all know that we are all trying to save money where ever we can, and people who are planning weddings it is that little bit harder. Just remember when you are booking suppliers for your wedding, try not to leave a large deposit as we all know that many companies are going in to liquidation and you don’t want to lose your deposits.

We strongly advise you to take out wedding insurance to cover you for any lost that maybe caused (check with your insurance provider that you will be covered).

Wedding Sales / Bargains

We all love getting a bargain and the same goes when you are wedding shopping alot of shops and websites offer great sale offers so you could save yourself a small fortune.

Don’t be afraid to ask for discount in shops as they are looking for your business so they may be willing to offer you money off your purchase.

Jewellers are great places for getting discount, alot of people think that you have to pay the price on the tag, this isn’t the case jewellers are always willing to discount their products.

If you don’t ask you don’t get.
