Recession Proof Wedding Tips

June 2nd, 2009

Due to the current economic slow down, many bride and grooms are opting for either a longer engagement to get their finances in order or just to save for their perfect day or to marry on a budget or even both! this seems to be a trend at the moment so here are a few tips to help have the day you want on the budget you have!

Opting for a wedding at home (if you have the means) can save thousands as well as giving you a more personal day

Make your own invitations and favours

Give the bridesmaids a description and colour of dress you would like them to wear and let them choose their own on a budget

If on a tight budget, get a family member to do a BBQ for the evening food, everyone has a relatiave who is a wiz on the BBQ!

Everyone knows someone who is a keen photographer, and with most computors and printers today you can have as many copies as you like at a fraction of the cost so get bugging your friends!!

Limit your numbers, we all know its nice to see that long lost friend or relative at weddings but most people will understand that money is tight, an evening invite may have to suffice at the moment.

Jade Goody’s Wedding Plans

February 18th, 2009

As we are all aware that Jade has been told that she only has a short time to live due to her having cancer she was recently told by doctors that she would have a matter of months to live, she has tried her best to fight the disease but now that it has spread to her bowel and liver she is slowly losing the fight.

Her boyfriend Jack Tweed proposed to Jade at her bedside in hospital and the couple are due to get married on Sunday at Down Hall Country House Hotel in Essex.

They are all working together to prepare for the big day, marquees are being erected at the venue, apparently around 100 guests will attend the civil ceremony at around noon at the weekend, followed by a beautiful reception. We hear that Living TV will be there filming the day as they have made a documentry on her illness since last august when she was told she had cancer.

Jade has been given a Makado Silk Uranio wedding dress worth £3,500 by Harolds owner Mohammed Al Fayed. According to Jade the dress is beautiful and is her dream Wedding dress, she can’t wait to walk unaided down the aisle to her future husband.

Jade’s Maid of Honour, Kate Jackson told This morning, five of Jades best friends were called a couple of days ago and Jade asked them to be her bridesmaids.

There is so much to organise in such a short time, some of what Jade has requested is not possible to organise in a week, but we have every hope that Jade will have the day that she dreams of.

All of the Idowedo staff would like to wish Jade and Jack all the best for their wedding day and hope that Jade’s dreams all come true for her perfect wedding day. Our thoughts are all with Jade and her family.
